Mynaric leverages the complete Udoka Electronics’ product portfolio to advance the industrialization of laser communication terminals
Streamlining A2L File Management with Acam
At Mynaric, we integrated UDOKA Electronics’ Acam tool suite into our software build system to automate the creation and management of A2L files. This integration allows us to create A2L files from C source code and automatically merge A2L files from various sources at every software build, effectively eliminating manual steps. This automation has been crucial for the productivity and correct utilization of XCP based tools which rely on accurate A2L databases for calibration and diagnostics of our ECU software components deployed to our optical communications terminals.
Enhancing ECU Interactions with Sumac
Sumac has proven to be an efficient tool for calibration, measurement, and visualization of embedded control systems. It supports real-time and offline calibration and measurement via XCP protocol and A2L databases, as well as DBC-based CAN measurement. The tool’s availability with both Windows and Linux platforms offers a significant advantage in our heterogeneous development environment. Sumac’s intuitive interface and powerful features have streamlined our software development, calibration, testing, and validation processes.
Automating Processes with Pass
Pass, Udoka Electronics’ Python module, provides a rich API for XCP measurement and calibration, measurement of CAN bus traffic as well as ECU software download via UDS and XCP. This capability has enabled us at Mynaric to develop our tailored solution for reliable deployment of production software as well as supporting every step in the production line with reliable calibration and measurement capabilities in integration with our own IT systems. The architecture of the system is outlined in the figure below.

UDOKA Electronics has proven to be a trusted partner for Mynaric. They consistently provided prompt assistance for any issues we encountered. They were also always available to deliver new features upon request without additional costs. Their licensing model is both convenient and reasonably priced, making them a valuable partner in our development efforts. We look
forward to continuing our collaboration, confident in their commitment to quality and innovation.
